OBITUARY
Eckert Wettlaufer

Rev. Arthur Page, minister of Palermo United Church, assisted by Rev. W.T. Delve of Jordan, a former minister and a friend of the deceased, officiated on Saturday at the funeral of Eckert Wettlaufer, long-time Palermo resident, who died at his farm home last Thursday morning. Service was held at the funeral chapel of S.S. Russell and Son, and interment was in Palermo United Church Cemetery.

Born at Wellesley, Ont., in November 30, 1894, the late Mr. Wettlaufer moved to Palermo with his family sixty years ago. He attended Palermo public school and for many years took an active part in community affairs.
He was a member of Palermo United Church, and sang in the choir until a year ago. For five years he was church treasurer.

Mr. Wettlaufer is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Giles of Merton; three sons, George, Harold and Ronald, all of Palermo; two grandchildren, Jerry and Kenneth; a brother, James, of Brantford; and four sisters, Mrs. Ina Wilson, Regina; Mrs. Charlotte Waterbury, New York; and Mrs. Etta Christner and Mrs. Ada Hill, both of Palermo.
