In Bob's words: "The Peters family moved to 3rd Line, RR#1 Milton in the summer of 1967, from Toronto. My father was a butcher for Canada Packers. Mother was a waitress in Malton, at the small hotel across from the Air Canada hangers until the big fire, then she worked at The Hilton hotel, just down the road. My parents bought the farm as a retirement spot, but that kinda backfired as by the time 1973 rolled around, dad was farming 300 acres (we started with 10). We lived right next door to the Hadfield's."
Notes
Percy W. Merry, or "P.W. Merry" as it was sometimes called, accommodated children from kindergarten to Grade Eight. In 1958, a number of one-room schools in Halton County were closed and the children bussed to Percy W. Merry Public School at 263 Britannia Rd. E., just west of Trafalgar Road, Drumquin, Trafalgar Township.
