High-Rise Concrete Road Bed Bridge, Trafalgar Township

- Item Type:
- This photograph was shown to the Trafalgar Township Historical Society by a former Merton (Bronte) resident, descendant of the Riggs and Patterson families. She does not know where this bridge was. The sides of the bridge look like concrete. It is two lane with a gravel/dirt roadbed.
A trail or old road can be seen going down the hogsback on an angle from by the shed to the river, under the bridge. Other old roads are seen to be horizontal under the brow of the ridge. As well, an old road bed seems to be running parallel to the bridge, coming down from by the house and shed.
Our donor is positive it is not over Bronte Creek at the Middle Road. The ravine doesn't seem deep enough to be at Dundas over the Sixteen Mile Creek.
Please use the "Comments" tab to contact the TTHS if you can identify this bridge, and date it. Thank you.
