    The Murray House use to serve many people in different community ways. The basement use to be a dancing room for the locals during the 1960s and 70s. There was a fine food restuarant on the first floor. It frontage supports both a Canadian and an American flag.

    In the late 1970’s when this photo was taken, the side wall of the McGregor Hardware Store, with its murals advertising the store, was still visible. As the area has been built up however, the wall has been blocked from view.

    The original post office is still standing within the Lakeside Park. I took two photos to create different moods for the viewer. This photo was given an antique look to enhance the authenticity of that era in 1896. The post office is at the south west corner of the Lakeside ...
